I have been an internet consultant since the very beginning of "the internet". I am a highly experienced web developer and programmer and rather than tell you what I can do, I've opted to tell you a little about a few projects.

Note, I specialize in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL, Windows Server and other Microsoft platforms and platforms that use .NET, like the DotNetNuke open source CMS. I also specialize in websites for mobile devices and native mobile applications (targeting iOS and Android.) Finally, I have also implemented ASP DOT NET StoreFront and other ecommerce platforms.

In addition, below is a short list of some projects I've implemented in the past.

  • FlipOutSandals.com - Complete ASP Dot Net Store Front implementaiton of a custom design and custom code for a "buy 1 get 1 at 1/2 off" as well as integration with Moulton Logistics.
  • Stonyfield.com/blog - Completely custom configured WordPress in a hosted installation and implemented a custom WordPress skin.
  • Family Violence Prevention / GiveRespect.org - Created an online petition system built on top of SQL Server and Dot Net Nuke with social media hooks to Twitter and Facebook.
  • LiveFreeOrDieAlliance.org - Created a complete social network in NING and a complete content website in Dot Net Nuke including an AJAX feed processor to bring NING content into the website in real time.
  • MonsterTower.com - Implemented a content website using Dot Net Nuke and a separate shopping cart using ASP Dot Net StoreFront.
  • Confidential large publisher that sells magazine subscriptions online - took over a flawed DotNetNuke and ASP Dot Net Storefront implementation and quicly addressed major architectural and database issues. Scaled up the client to be able to handle upwards of 2,000 ecommerce orders per day.
  • iHealthSpot.com - created several modules in Dot Net Nuke for this software-as-a-service provider. Among the modules I created, the comment inbox allows doctors to receive feedback from patients.
  • Confidential genealogy membership website - participated in a large implementation of the Ektron CMS for this website that allows members to research historic records about their ancestors. Completed several customixzations of the Ektron CMS including: an event list module, calendar and blog customizations, article reader, membership profile editing, membership purchasing, and more.
  • Hollywood.com Shopping Cart - Created a comprehensive shopping cart for this online retailer’s line of entertainment products including the ability to quickly deploy themed micro-sites (like a Star Wars store) timed to coincide with major motion picture releases. Windows 2000 Server, Pervasive SQL, IBM DB2/AS400, Microsoft SQL Server, MS Access 2000, ASP. Interesting Feature: I had to develop a lot of middleware to connect the AS/400 based inventory system with both an MS Access based fulfillment system and a SQL Server based website. This was accomplished using database replication and automated imports/exports.
  • CropAndDropOnline.com (not active) - Crop & Drop USA is a franchisor of Marble component products. With over 50 distributors throughout the US constantly ordering merchandise, the staff at CAD was constantly dealing with faxes and paperwork to have their distributor’s orders processed, manufactured, billed then shipped. Our solution allowed them to cut costs and time by allowing them to manage the entire ordering process from initial distributor order placement and manufacturing workflow to shipping management and delivery. Uses a “mailbox” analogy to help non-technical users understand the “workflow” required to process orders.
  • PinMall.cc (not active) - Cellular telephones are an important tool to many people of varying income levels. However, many people cannot afford expensive cell plans. To that end, SGI proposed to launch a website where retail stores could provide “single use” cellular phone pins for pre-paid service. Instead of retail stores having to purchase actual “pin cards” (which needed to be inventoried and protected from destruction and theft), when a customer wanted a “pin”, the merchant would simply access the PinMall.cc site and instantly purchase a “pin” for their customer. Interesting Feature: We developed a custom Active X component for Security that allowed ONLY certified computers to access the website so that a merchant’s employees could not access the website from home and purchase pins on their own.
  • Sales Manager Application for a $20M/yr food distribution company - Jimenez & Fernandez is a Puerto Rico based producer and distributor of Coffee products with sales in the $80 Million range. With a very unique model of sales and distribution, no “off-the-shelf” order entry system ever met their needs. Furthermore, the big “ERP” solutions that were modifiable to meet the clients needs were also too expensive with implementation costs in the millions of dollars. To solve their needs, around 1994 we designed and MS Access database and custom application for this client complete with over 100 screens and over 500 reports. This database and custom application has since processed thousands of invoices and received thousands of payments from a client database of almost 10,000 records and is currently STILL in use more than 10 years later. This project was so successful, that in early 2004 the client contracted with us again to “modernize” the application and move them to SQL Server and ASP.NET. Interesting Feature: The application is extremely robust with MULTIPLE points of audit and cont ol for every function. Because it processes $80 million in revenues every year, it has been subject to the scrutiny of at least 5 CPA Audits. Every time, it has held its ground and proved to be a reliable and mission critical database for the customer.

These are just a few recent projects, but I have completed literally hundreds of design and programming projects in the last 15+ years. Some of my skills include:
